Frequently Asked Questions

After providing Lite Brite templates since 2014, here are some of the more common questions received.

Which Lite Brite do I have? Which lite brite refill sheet size is appropriate for me?

There have been different types of lite brites over the last 40 years or so. We’ve found the easiest way to determine is to measure the screen size of your lite brite. All of the screensizes and the name of the lite brite are available on each design page.

See Lite Brite Names, Sizes and Recommendation page for more.

Any free lite brite pattern samples so I can try before I buy?

Yes. See the Free Lite Brite Pattern page.

What is your refund policy?

We just want folks to be happy. If you are not satisfied with your order for any reason, we offer 100% full refund. See Refund Page for more info.

Where can I buy more lite brite pegs?

For pegs, there are multiple options on Amazon, but this one seems like a good deal.

Other FAQs

Do I need black paper for Glowpeg’s lite brite printable sheets?

White or light color paper is required. But, here’s something unique about our lite brite refills — each lite brite template theme pack is delivered with designs with both dark and white backgrounds.

Example when you order a 10 pack, you will received 20 lite brite template designs– 10 with dark backgrounds and 10 with white backgrounds.

When printing dark background designs, your printer will print the black background. White paper will leave the color indicators (V, P, O, etc.) white so the design can be completed on the board. When printing on white backgrounds, the designs will print color indicators (V, P, O, etc.) in dark color. The dark backgrounds are more traditional, while the white backgrounds are for folks concerned with using more ink in dark backgrounds.

Both dark and white backgrounds are provided with every order. You do not need to purchase separately.

If you are really curious to the history of how and why about our two design options with every order please see Lite Brite Templates Printable – How is Glowpeg different?

Here, we show how easy it is to print our lite brite templates.

Any special requirements to open the printable lite brite designs on my computer?

No. Your computer needs to be able to open PDF files and most computers can do this out of the box. However, if you are one of the few who need a PDF reader, a free PDF reader may be downloaded from Adobe: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

What’s the history of lite brite and lite brite designs?

See History of Lite Brite and Lite Brite Designs page

Is it Lite Brite or Light Bright or Lite Bright?

The correct spelling for the children’s toy from Hasbro is “Lite Brite”. As you can see, “lite” is spelled with an “i” instead of “ight” and “brite” is spelled with a “B” instead of “Bright”. Not really sure why.
